Subject: mix
Jerry is nearly absent in this sbd mix,he was a bit hard to hear at the show, too. The toms were also quite loud at the show. My aud.tape is a bit more balanced than this though, and would definately be a better alternative. The aud. tape displays far more energy

Please listen to brents solo in Shakedown Street, its pretty much sonic. The first time i heard it my socks blew off. Jerry is having kind of a hard time vocally but theres still a good dose of the Mutron III envelope follower (bwop bwow wop bwow). Phil dominates on bass. Prolific percussion.

Subject: Where's Jerry's Guitar?
This show was played on the local community radio station on the weekly Dead Head's show. All night I kept wondering "where's Jerry?" It's a fun ride but for the fact that the lead guitar is greatly diminished or absent for much of it. I'm a stickler for these things. Brent was very new to the stage at this point, offering very spirited keyboard work and accompanying vocals along with "Easy To Love You." After listening to both versions of this show posted here, I'm not inclined to incorporate it into my collection. I do hope that the fans on the ground heard more lead guitar than was recorded. Highlight is the Alabama Getaway> Promised Land encore and Terrapin Station.

Never heard this one before. Any guesses who is on vocals? Decent show though
